It has been awhile!!

Good morning!!  I know it has been some time since I have written a post here on my blog, After all, if you are going to have a blog.. you should write!! 

Well... I took some time, and I am back!!

Recently, I had a car accident and had surgery on my leg, so I have had some time to myself, I needed to realize I need to make time for the things I like to do!

Blogging one of them! 

Anyway,at the moment I am reading 3 different books!! Never did that before, but I was in such a slump, that I kept starting all these books hoping something would catch my attention.  

Well, all three did!

1. THE CHILL BY SCOTT CARSON

This is a supernatural type of mystery book actually written by the author Michael Kortya. It took me about 100 pages to fully get into the story, but I just did not want to give up. I usually have a 50 page rule, by page 50, I am either in or out! But here, I needed to make an exception.

2. VANISHING SEASON BY JOANNA SHAUFFHAUSEN 

This is  book one in a trilogy/series  of mystery/police procedural tgat I have been hearing so many raves about.  I have the physical copy of book 3, so I figured, hey, let’s see what cooking!!

So far so good, only 15 pages in.

3. THE LIAR BY STRVE CAVANAUGH

I love this series, it’s an automatic read because the books are just that good. Just started this one, on page 5, but already hooked.

I figured this: if I can keep up with a few different television shows, why not books?!?  Well.. it’s worth a shot!  Let’s see how it plays out!

Welcome my fellow bibliophiles!! I am here today to rave and rant about this beauty above!! First, can we appreciate that book cover??? Amazing!!

First and foremost, I want to thank the great people over at WILLIAM MORROW, and imprint of Harper Collins. They have the best people there!!!!

This is the second installment by author Ashley Dyer, I absolutley loved the first book, which I read and reviewed last year.

Tell me that alone did not draw you in?

I enjoyed this book so much,  read it in just a couple of days.  DI Carver and Lake, are quite a team, and I cannot wait for the next installment.  I love the investment the author made into the characters and atmosphere.  This is for sure a 5 star read for me. Haunting, touching, and immensley entertaining.

Hello Everyone!!

Welcome to my new book blog! I am excited to be writing again, in an official blog, not only on social media.

I will be writing reviews of books I have read. I am currently finishing CEMETERY ROAD by GREG ILES. Let me tell you... What. A. Book!!! You will get to find out all about it tomorrow. I am going to be doing regular features including “ help me pick my next read”  “book mail” and a few others I have in mind!

As for me, I am 36 years old, I live in Brighton beach, Brooklyn! I have an amazing 12 year old daughter, Angelica, and my amazing husband, Freddy!

I have always loved to read and have a passion for crime fiction and mystery and suspense, even horror and gothic as well.
